“We’re always looking for a place to eat, something with no tacos or quesadillas,” he said of the wide expanse of Mexican offerings in Pilsen. “We said, ‘You know what? We love burgers. We love beer. So let’s open a joint with burgers and beers.’ ”

With an extensive and impressive selection of craft beers, it’s easy to overlook the tiny list of cocktails hidden at the back of the menu at Pl·zeň. The restaurant has been updating classic mixed drinks using in-house made concentrates and infused liquors with flavors from Latin America — one of the best examples of this being the tamarind margarita.
Sounds like my idea of a perfect night. Don’t you? We walked out of there for about $70 inclusive of tax and tip for two appetizers, one entree (large enough to share) and a bottle of wine. We skipped dessert because we just had too much to eat!
